CITY INSTITUTE OF IMAGE MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION

City Institute of Image Management [CIIM], KMC was established in 2007 under the able guidance of the former Deputy Mayor Nasreen Jaleel Sahiba. The major objective of the institute is to improve and polish the soft skills as well as technical skills of the Government employees, enabling them to serve the general public more efficiently and effectively. Besides training the government employees CIIM has also focused its efforts to groom the youth who are ready to enter the professional life

 

CIIM has conducted 209 courses, 15 seminars (National/International level) and trained more than 6000 personnel so far. CIIM has designed and conducted courses for a wide variety of participants, ranging from security guards to members of parliament. In addition to regular training courses, CIIM has also conducted a number of seminars, workshops for community service with the support of collaborating partners

PROJECTS

 

OBJECTIVES

O

To improve the general management and leadership  skills of Government Officers and UC/Town Nazimeens


O

To impart concrete knowledge of Sind Local Government Ordinance and related laws, regulations and mannerism, this is vital to government officials and elected members of the City.

To develop and polish communication skills, social and leadership skills of  City Councilors, Town and UC Nazims, and others who have any interaction with the government departments

 

O

To conduct courses which may help the government officers prepare for the future responsibilities

 

O

To conduct extensive training workshops  according to the specific needs of various departments of KMC

 

O

To achieve a cordial and compatible environment in which public representatives and associated government officials think, plan and work to benefit the people of Karachi regardless of their class, creed , religion and cultural background.

FUTURE PLANS


Future Plans

City Institute of Image Management to launch a “Personal Professional Development Course” in 2015 for Government Officer in Collaboration with IBA, NIM, PIM or British Council, Karachi for improvement and enhancement  of Government officer’s skills

 

CIIM will launch another Program “Diploma for Potential Political Leaders (DPPL)” with a duration of 100 hours for different Political Parties’ workers,. CIIM is seeking a funding from UN, US Consulate or others for this unique program

 

CIIM intends to launch a series of Youth Development Programme for the less privileged areas of Karachi, and its suburban villages [Goaths]

 


ACHIEVEMENTS

The National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) recognized the City Institute of Image Management (CIIM) as the first in-house institute in the Local District Government Level in Pakistan.

British Council also appreciated the training of youth on various platforms

CIIM ranked 2nd position in overall Sindh for the project of Gender Based Governance system (GBGS) of UNDP, GoSindh Department, and Government of Sindh
