  Administrator Karachi said that the religious and welfare organizations are also active in Karachi and serving the needy people in different sectors.

  Administrator Karachi Laeeq Ahmed on Tuesday said that it is joint purpose of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and religious and social organizations to bring betterment in the city. Religious and welfare organizations are also active in Karachi and serving the needy people in different sectors. Their co-operation would be great for plantation and making Karachi green, the Administrator passed these remarks while talking to a delegation of Dawat-e-Islami led by Yaqoob Attari called on him at his office here. Yahya Qadrii, Muhammad Ameen, Abdur Rehman, Ghulam Nabi and others were also amongst the delegation. The Administrator informed the delegation about works being conducted by KMC to uplift infrastructure of the city. He said that comprehensive strategy was adopted through which roads, flyovers and underpasses are being renovated. Ahmed said that plantation is the need of the hour and measures were adopted to plant maximum number of trees to cope with environmental pollution. The Administrator added that representatives of welfare organizations are being included in managing committees to run the affairs of graveyards. He said that all religious and social organizations want betterment of Karachi and ready to cooperate with the KMC in this regard. Positive change could be witnessed if we all work jointly, he added. The delegation apprised Ahmed about welfare works being conducted by Dawat-e-Islami in health, education and disaster management. They said that blood bank, free Thalassemia testing service, global rehabilitation service, disaster management training, social network, online courses and other works are underway by Dawat-e-Islami. The delegation assured the Administrator that they are ready to cooperate with the KMC for betterment of Karachi. Ahmed said that fruitful results would be achieved if sincere efforts are taken. He said that a plantation campaign is going to be started from 15th February, adding that the cooperation of social and religious organizations would be vital for the campaign. The input of everyone would be taken for Karachi uplift. Efforts of all of us would be fruitful and Karachi to become a real metropolitan city, the Administrator added.
