  Mayor Karachi urges federal government to resolve the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat issue.

  Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said Khatm-e-Nabuwaat (SAW) is the core of our faith on which we all believed, the country was already engulfed by terrorism and other issues and we can’t afford any more conflict, particularly on the subject of Khatm-e-Nabuwaat (SAW), therefore seconding the views of Ulema-e-Karam on this matter we demand to federal government and other bodies to solve this issue as soon as possible and according to the wishes of the Muslims. He was addressing to a meeting held in the KMC Building on Monday with the Ulema-e-Karam from different school of thought to review and discuss the arrangements for the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Those who were present on this occasion includes member MQM(P)Rabita Committee Muhammad Adil Khan, Chairman DMC East Moid Anwer, Chairamn DMC Malir Jan Muhammad Baloch, Vice Chairman DMC Central Shakir Ali, Vice Chairman DMC Korangi Syed Ahmer Ali, Parliamentary leader in City Council Aslam Shah Afridi, Chairmen and Chairpersons of city council’s committees, Allama Abbas Kameli, Qari Ahtimam-ul- Haq Thanvi, Hakim Akber Dars, Siddiqui Rathore Advocate, Mufti Hammad-ullah Madni, Qari Yaqoob Attari, Mohammad Shafi Qadri, Atif Hanif Balu, Muhammad Naved Abbasi, Moulana Sadiq Jafferi, Agha Mashadi, Syed Karrar Naqvi, D.I.G Traffic Asghar Usman, DMD KWSB Asadullah Khan, representatives of police, K-electric, SSGC and senior KMC officers. The Ulema-e-Karam presented the problems facing by the citizens during the meeting and said that immediate measures should be taken to solve all problems related to sewerage system, street lights maintenance, repairing and maintenance of roads, removal of garbage and installation of standby generators near the religious processions and gatherings. Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said he was aware of these problems and for this directives have already been issued to concerned departments. He said the districts were also doing their work and calling such meetings with Ulema to review the situation and the elected representatives were also being taken on board to play their important role in resolving such issues. He said KMC will perform its functions in coordination with the district administration in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal to provide relief to the citizens. He said most of the issues pertain to cleanliness, sewerage leakage, dug up roads for development works, street lights and broken roads which should be noted by the department representatives attending this meeting and we hope that immediate action would be taken by them to solve all such issues. He prayed that the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal and all other months see peace and tranquility in the city and whole province and country.
