  Mayor Karachi review arrangements for shifting of tankers at ZOT.  
  Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the oil tankers owners to shift all of their oil tankers to the Zulfiqarabad Oil Tankers Parking Terminal within next four days. No further delay will be tolerated as all required facilities were already provided in the terminal. This order was issued after a detailed report on the visit of Mayor Karachi and Supreme Court’s representative with Metropolitan Commissioner was submitted in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. Earlier Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar along with Zia Awan Advocate and Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman visited the terminal to review the arrangements for shifting of oil tankers. He on this occasion while talking to media representatives said that it was now on the oil takers owners and other concerned organizations and persons to fulfill their duty and play their role in the implementation of Supreme Court’s orders. Mayor Karachi thanked the Supreme Court of Pakistan for issuing the orders regarding shifting of oil tankers from different areas of the city. Mayor Karachi said with the completion of these oil tankers parking terminals there would be smooth flow of traffic and this was a long awaited demand of the people which has been completed by KMC despite limited resources and fund. He said his team has proved that all the works can be done with day and night efforts. He said we have made this oil tanker terminal functional and now it was the responsibility of oil tankers owners to let it run in a proper manner. He said this oil tanker parking terminal has the capacity of parking 3200 oil tankers and all facilities of the drivers have been provided while there would be an infrastructure for 10,000 will be available. He said this terminal would have the capacity of parking of around 3200 tankers at a time with all required facilities including mosque, rest area, canteen, bathrooms and service and maintenance shops of tankers were made available at the terminal. This terminal will have 140 toilets and a police kiosk and 36 feet wide road has been constructed along with oil tanker parking terminal; six time zones have been fixed for tankers oil filling tankers.
